How to Set Windows Passwords to Never Expire

Although it is not recommended, sometimes people find it necessary to have Windows passwords never expire.  Following the steps below will allow you to easily set windows passwords to never expire via the Command Line.

Command Line syntax to set a user account password to never expire:

NET USER {username} /expires:never

Detailed Instructions:
  1. Press Windows+R to open the Run box
  2. Type CMD to open the Command line Window
  3. Type NET USER {username} /expires:never into the Command Line Window
  4. Hit Enter

 

That is all it takes to set a user account password to never expire.  This is especially helpful if you are not able to use the local user accounts console to force the password to never expire.
